    Vicidial is an enterprise class, open source, contact center suite in use by many large call centers around the world. VICIdial has a full featured predictive dialer.  It is capable of inbound, outbound, and blended phone call handling. 

  What is Broadcast Campaign

 
    Voice broadcasting is a kind of mass communication technique which you lets you send Pre-Recorded or on the fly Text to speech calls to a large number of people at once.  The major use case of using Voice Broadcast are to send notifications, alerts, Payment due date, Service end date , Election campaign etc.
In voice broadcast you can also get response from customer, like dtmf inputs or record there voice inputs.
    
    In Vicidial has the ability to dial out and have the customer listen to the predefined voice message, example playing an announcement, offers, election broadcast etc. here you can also add functionality to press a digit 

  Pre-Requisites for Voice Broadcast 


1. Voice file to be Broadcasted 
    the voice file should be in 16 bit Mono 8k PCM wav format
you can use the below link to convert your voice file to the above said format

2. Admin access to the Vicidial admin page.
3. Console access to sync the voice file
4. Trunk and Customer data to dialout

  Steps followed in video tutorial

1. Convert the audio file to the wav format
2. upload the audio file in the vicidial
3. Sync the audio file using command line
4. Create a basic camapaign with 8368 or 8369 as routing extesions
5. Create users and remote agents with custom dialplan and campaign

  The vicidial Lead status

    Below the Staus of a lead in report for the voice broadcast campaign.

PU - Call Picked Up
AL - call sent to a message and message has been played
NA - no answer auto dial
B - BUSY
